The most delicious pain au chocolate. You can tell how popular they are by the long queues and amount of locals! If you go early, there is a huge variety of breads, pastries, quiches and tarts. I noticed the locals particularly favoured the baguettes. The staff were all very frie…Plus d’avis
The most delicious pain au chocolate. You can tell how popular they are by the long queues and amount of locals! If you go early, there is a huge variety of breads, pastries, quiches and tarts. I noticed the locals particularly favoured the baguettes. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.
They use a machine for cashiering which was a relief for me who had large notes which I felt embarrassed to ask change for 🤭
After grabbing pastries, take a 5min walk towards the sea and enjoy your pastry on one of the large & comfortable benches~Visited in May 2023
I visited yesterday and had an absolutely amazing time! There was a lovely young man who served me, the service was very quick and friendly. I would definitely come back :)

The best baguettes around. Great service, fresh baguettes regularly imported. Great choice. I have never eaten better baguettes. I always like to go back there
Never disappointed. Great selection. Always eager to try their different breads. Their pain fermier (sliced) was great for toast but was discontinued. Staff was friendly and efficient. The money machine took some getting used to. I would buy a couple of loaves to bring back to Canada. No travel last year or this year due to Covid. I hope La Modone is surviving okay.

Definitely check it out. To be honest, we didn't get to try any other bakery in the area, so it's hard to compare... That being said, the quiches, pan au chocolat, croissant, baguettes, and onion pizza we had were amazing.

Truly an excellent bakery. Good, fresh products, and helpful staff. All the products I've had the chance to try are excellent. I highly recommend the rolls with cream and chocolate or raisins. The croissants, puff pastry, and eclectic pastries are also excellent. The savory products, such as filled focaccia, baguettes, and pizzas, are also good. I highly recommend them if you come here. The prices are excellent.
